In-Home Behavior Lessons are for problems of a more serious nature, problems that will require behavior modification to change the emotional responses and to learn new ways of relating to the normal events of day-to-day life. Behavior modification must be done carefully so that dogs are never pressured or over-faced with the triggers that cause them alarm, fear or stress. Here are just some of the situations that call for a behavior modificiation approach:
IN-HOME INTAKE and ASSESSMENT A complete physical exam by a veterinarian who has, in hand, a complete behavioral history and a qualifed trainer's observations, will allow youto be sure that there are no underlying physical problems. Underlying physical issues can obstruct the progress of your behavior modification training and even adversely impact the situation. Intake Assessment, behavior history, video clips, and intake summary FAXED to the referring veterinarian, maximum of two hours - $100

To learn more about best practice between trainers and veterinarians: read this. IN-HOME BEHAVIOR LESSONSAt the intake assessment, I will get a chance to meet you, the dog, and get a feel for the issues you are dealing with. We’ll start some training that very first session. I will help you plan and implement the behavior treatment plan approved by your veterinarian. Together we'll establish your goals and your priorities, combine that with the time you are able to devote to working on your dog's issues and establish some benchmarks for success. In-home Behavior Lessons are billed at $100/hour. If you choose to purchase your lessons in a package, paying in full before the first lesson, your cost will be less. Following each lesson, Your Dog's Personal Trainer provides notes as to the work we accomplished, video clips of your work with your dog (when available), video clip examples of what you will work on next (when available). Email and phone support are available post-lesson too. Periodic follow-up reports will be sent to your veterinarian. PAYMENT INFORMATION for In-Home Training Lessons will be sent to you by email once you have chosen your preferred lesson package. |
